About

An advisor that remembers what you decided.

Most owners and founders do not lack money. They lack someone who has made these decisions many times before. ChiefBoard brings that experience. It knows your business, works through your options with costs and expected ROI, recommends a path and keeps a record of what you decided. Founded in 2026 by Lucas Gruber, run from Friedberg, Bavaria, Germany.

Why it exists

Running a business means making decisions on your own. Whether to raise prices when churn is already uncomfortable. Whether to match a counteroffer for a developer you cannot really afford. Whether the next five thousand dollars go into ads or into a hire. There is rarely a board for this, and friends mostly offer sympathy instead of a second opinion.

ChiefBoard started because its founder kept making exactly these decisions with no one to check them against. General AI tools were the obvious thing to reach for, and they failed in two specific ways. They agreed with whatever he proposed, because agreement is the path of least resistance. And they forgot everything, so the same context had to be explained again every time, and a decision from spring left no trace by fall.

So the product was built around those two gaps. ChiefBoard knows your business, so its answers are about your situation and not about companies in general. And it keeps a record of what you decided, so it can push back when a new plan contradicts an old one. An advisor who has forgotten your last conversation is not an advisor.

What it does

Answers with numbers
Questions about pricing, hiring, cash flow, marketing and strategy come back with concrete amounts, the math behind them and steps you can start today.
Runs scenarios
For bigger questions, ChiefBoard compares two to four options, always including the option of doing nothing, with cost, revenue impact and expected ROI.
States its assumptions
Every calculation says which numbers were assumed rather than measured, and which details would sharpen it. A confidence level never comes without its reasoning.
Remembers decisions
An answer worth keeping goes into the ledger with the chosen path, an owner and a review date. Later conversations build on it and point out conflicts.
Reads your documents
Upload reports, contracts and pitch decks and ask questions that refer to what is actually in them.
Pushes back when needed
If the numbers do not support the plan, the answer says so. A yes that costs nothing is worth nothing.

The founder

Lucas Gruber founded ChiefBoard in 2026 and builds it from Friedberg, Bavaria, Germany. He handles product, model behavior and the business himself, which also explains why most of the questions ChiefBoard is meant to answer land on his own desk first.

The product is built from a specific point of view. Not the large company with a strategy department and an executive team, but the founder and owner for whom one pricing decision moves the whole year and nobody in the building is paid to disagree. Every feature is measured against that: does it help someone decide something real this week, with the information they actually have.

That is also why ChiefBoard is deliberately not a chatbot with a business coat of paint. The chat is the way in. What gets built is the record of what a company decided and why. That is the part that adds up over time.

How it is built

ChiefBoard runs on the Claude API from Anthropic. Your company profile and your decisions are stored so the product can do its job, and they belong to you: you can change or delete a company, including its full decision history, at any time. What happens with your data is described in the privacy policy.

ChiefBoard supports decisions. It is not professional advice. It does not replace a lawyer, an accountant or licensed investment advice, and should not be used as one.

Frequently asked questions

What is ChiefBoard?

ChiefBoard is AI software for business decisions, built for founders, managing directors and owners. It answers questions based on a stored company profile, runs scenarios with costs and expected ROI, and keeps a record of what you decided so later answers build on it.

Who is ChiefBoard for?

Owners and founders of small and mid-sized businesses, typically with 1 to 100 employees, who make decisions without a board, a co-founder or a leadership team to test their thinking against.

How is ChiefBoard different from a general AI assistant?

In two ways. It knows your business, meaning industry, stage, team size and goals, instead of answering in general terms. And it keeps a decision ledger, so a decision from March is still present in September, even when a new plan contradicts it.

Does ChiefBoard replace a consultant?

The recurring analytical work and the preparation of decisions, yes. For a restructuring, the sale of a company or any task where someone needs to be physically on site, you still bring in a consultant.

Who founded ChiefBoard?

Lucas Gruber founded ChiefBoard in 2026. It is run from Friedberg, Germany.

What does ChiefBoard cost?

There is a free plan with no time limit, with 15 messages per month and 5 decisions in the ledger, with reviews. Solo costs $29 per month, Business $59 and Ultra $129. Paying yearly costs $295, $599 and $1,299 per year, about 15% less. Every new account gets 7 days of full access, no credit card needed.

Which AI model does it run on?

ChiefBoard runs on the Claude API from Anthropic.

Does ChiefBoard replace a lawyer or accountant?

No. ChiefBoard gives structured decision support. It is not licensed legal, tax or investment advice and must not be used as such.
